Child Support
The Child Support Section (IV-D) provides services to both custodial and non-custodial parents of minor children seeking to establish, enforce, and/or modify child support. This service exists as a result of an agreement between the District Attorney and the State of Louisiana Department of Social Services, to provide support enforcement services to applicants.

Support Enforcement Services (S.E.S.) will review the application and contact you to schedule an appointment. The District Attorney’s Office will handle your case in court once it is referred from S.E.S. Once child support is established, any complaints of nonpayment or requests for modification shall be made to your S.E.S. case worker who will evaluate your case and refer it to the District Attorney’s Office for further action.
