The District Attorney’s Office had two special visitors during the Felony Motions docket on July 9, 2024.  Two rising sophomores at Belle Chasse High School, Annika Slavich and Ivana Sercovich,  have an interest in pursuing a career in law.  They spent the day at our courthouse in Pointe a la Hache shadowing Assistant District Attorney, Mary Touzet.  They had the opportunity to approach the bench and discuss the education requirements to practice law with Judge Kevin D. Conner.  Judge Conner kindly shared information about his experience as an attorney and a Judge and encouraged the young ladies to keep up the hard work.  District Attorney Charles Ballay welcomes visitors, especially students, who strive to become future leaders in our criminal justice system.
