On Wednesday, January 25, 2023, Reeva Parker, 38 from Buras, LA plead guilty to Vehicular Homicide, Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated -Second Offense, and Possession of Alcohol Beverage in a Motor Vehicle.
Parker struck another vehicle on Highway 23 resulting in the driver suffering fatal injuries on March 22, 2022.
Parker was sentenced to 10 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections, with a minimum of 5 ½ years to be served at hard labor by Judge Michael Clement
The case was prosecuted by Jason Napoli.
