The Plaquemines Parish District Attorney’s Office reports that on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, a Plaquemines Parish Grand Jury convened and returned true bills of indictment on
Seth Nunn, age 21, from Ojo Caliente, NM and Donavin Lymon, age 21, from Espanola, NM for First Degree Rape.
The incident took place on February 20, 2023, onboard the Carnival Cruise ship Valor in Plaquemines Parish waters. PPSO Detective Mikayla Denny apprehended the defendants at the cruise line terminal.
A conviction of First Degree Rape is punishable by life imprisonment without the benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence. Assistant District Attorney Mary Slavich Touzet presented the case to the Grand Jury.
