On Thursday, January 12, 2023, Kevin Sterling, 39 from Natchitoches, LA was found guilty by a Jury of Possession with Intent to Distribute Fentanyl, Possession with Intent to Distribute Crystal Meth, Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Possession of Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Possession of a Firearm While in Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance. Sentencing is scheduled for March 25, 2023, with Judge Michael Clement.
As a result of Sterling having a prior criminal record, it is the DA’s Office intent to charge him as a habitual offender, which can add additional time to his sentence.
The case was prosecuted by Jason Napoli.
