Christmas is a very special time of year and every family deserves to have a Merry Christmas. In this 4th year, District Attorney Charles Ballay, American Legion Post #329, under the leadership of Commander John Richardson, and Chevron Oak Point Oronite partnered to bring a little holiday cheer to several families in our parish. In addition, the Belle Chasse Garden Club, American Safety, Mr. & Mrs. Anthony Goodgion, employees from Clerk of Court Kim Turlich-Vaughan’s Office, the Plaquemines Parish Finance Department, Water Department, Permits Department, Belle Chasse Library, and Administration Department participated in purchasing gifts or gave monetary donations for these disadvantaged families, some of whom suffered unspeakable tragedy. These contributions allowed us to purchase gifts for 65 children in our parish. Wrapped gifts were picked up at the District Attorney’s Office or delivered by Rae Riley in time for Christmas.
