On November 12, 2019, Ross Franklin Judy, age 39 of Buras, LA, pled guilty to Human Trafficking, Cruelty to the Infirmed and Sexual Battery. For the violation of Human Trafficking, Judge Michael D. Clement sentenced Judy to serve 10 years of incarceration with the Louisiana Department of Corrections, which was suspended. However, Judy is to serve three years of active probation. Judge Clement also ordered Judy to pay $750 in court costs, $250 to the Public Defender’s Office and Judy is to register as a sex offender.
For the violation of Cruelty to the Infirmed, Judge Clement sentenced Judy to 10 years of incarceration with the Louisiana Department of Corrections, which was suspended. However, Judy is to serve three years of active probation.
For the violation of Sexual Battery, Judge Clement sentenced Judy to serve 10 years with the Department of Corrections, which was suspended and Judy is to register as a sex offender for this violation as well. The sentences for all three violations are to be served concurrently.
