Staff members from the Plaquemines Parish Clerk of Court Office, the District Attorney’s Office, the Public Defender’s Office, the Assessor’s Office and the Judges’ Offices came together to bring Christmas cheer to 38 children in our parish. This tradition started when Dot Lundin served as Clerk of Court 17 years ago! Each year, a staff member reaches out to the schools in our parish in search of families who may have been struggling or have had a year that hasn’t been so good. Families are chosen for the tree and each child’s age, gender and a wish list item is put on a tag to be placed on the tree. Employees from each of the offices pull a tag from the tree and purchase that item listed on the tag. Once delivered, the parents decide how they want to present the gifts to the children.
