On Thursday, January 12, 2023, Kevin Sterling, 40 from Natchitoches, LA was found guilty by a Jury of Possession with Intent to Distribute Fentanyl, Possession with Intent to Distribute Crystal Meth, Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Possession of Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Possession of a Firearm While in Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance.
As a result of Sterling having a prior criminal record, the DA’s Office charged him as a habitual offender, which add additional time to his sentence.
On Wednesday, February 28, 2024, Sterling was sentenced to 40 years of hard labor with the Department of Corrections.
The case was prosecuted by Jason Napoli and Judge Michael Clement issued the sentencing.
