On March 9, 2021, Trevor Joseph Encalade, Jr., age 23, of St. Bernard, LA, plead guilty to the crime of Simple Arson and was sentenced by Judge Kevin D. Conner to serve 5 years at hard labor at the LA Department of Corrections. This sentence is to be served consecutive to his Jefferson Parish convictions of Aggravated Flight from a Police Officer, Aggravated Assault with a Motor Vehicle on a Police Officer, Battery of A Police Officer and Possession of Marijuana, where he was sentenced to 5 years at hard labor.
